How to Write a Good Profile
A profile is a personal, insightful look at an individual or group. It often contains illuminating anecdotes and provides background information.
It also presents information in chronological order or some other organized format. To write a good profile, spend time observing the subject and taking notes. Observe with all of your senses to bring more detail to the story.

Quotes
Using quotes from people who know the subject best is an essential part of creating a well-rounded profile piece. This approach provides the reader with a deeper understanding of the person by giving context to their actions and motivations.
For example, the back story of a profile essay subject may include a time when the subject fought for something that they believe in. This gives the reader a sense of the person as a strong and determined individual.
You can access your Quotes list by selecting the Quotes menu tab in your side navigation. The list shows an itemized list of your sent quotes including details such as the Profile client’s name and email address, quote title, line items, the date the quote was created, the quote status (Draft, Approved, or Archived), and the user who created the quote.

A nut graf is similar to a climax in an essay, but it’s placed at the end of a profile. A nut graf gives readers a glimpse of what’s to come in the subject’s future, providing a satisfying conclusion to the story.
Students often use a number of research strategies after interviews or observation sessions when composing a profile essay. These research steps help ensure that the author’s unfamiliarity with discipline-specific vocabulary or discourse does not result in erroneous interpretations or summaries.
